Work With Me
Expert GCSE support that's clear, kind, and purposeful
Marking, feedback and one-to-one tutoring from an experienced UK secondary teacher — designed to help students understand exactly what they need to do to improve.
Every service on this page is designed around the same belief: students improve most when they understand what they're doing well, what's holding them back, and exactly what to do next. No vague comments. No red pen for red pen's sake. Just clear, actionable guidance from a teacher who cares.
One-Off · English Language & English Literature
GCSE Essay Marking & Feedback
Your student submits one piece of written work — an essay, extended response, or exam-style question — and receives detailed, personalised feedback written in plain language they can actually understand and act on.
Rather than a score and a few generic comments, feedback includes a breakdown of strengths, specific areas for development, and clear next steps so your student knows exactly what to focus on before they write again.
What's included
- Marking against the relevant GCSE assessment objectives
- An indicative working grade where appropriate
- Strengths highlighted with specific explanation
- Clear, actionable targets for the next piece of work
- Examiner-style commentary to build exam confidence
- Written in student-friendly language throughout

GCSE Mock Exam Marking & Feedback
Students complete a full GCSE mock exam paper under timed conditions and submit it for professional marking. This option gives a far more complete picture of a student's current performance than marking a single essay in isolation.
Feedback covers the whole paper, assessing each question against the mark scheme and providing personalised commentary that explains not just what the marks were, but what the student needs to do differently in an exam room to achieve more of them.
What's included
- Full paper marked against the GCSE mark scheme
- Question-by-question feedback and commentary
- Guidance on exam technique, timing and planning
- Overall strengths and priority targets
- Common exam pitfalls to watch out for
- Written in student-friendly language throughout
Ongoing Support · English Language, English Literature, Psychology & Sociology
Weekly Marking & Feedback Subscription
For students who need more than a one-off boost, the weekly subscription provides consistent, expert feedback over time. Rather than practising in isolation and hoping for the best, students submit work each week and receive feedback that builds progressively — each set of targets informing the next piece of writing.
This steady rhythm of practice, feedback and improvement is what genuinely moves grades. Over time, students develop a much clearer understanding of what examiners are looking for, and the confidence that comes from knowing how to meet those expectations.
What's included each week
- One piece of work marked with full written feedback
- Ongoing targets that build week on week
- Support with exam technique and question structure
- Progress tracked across the subscription
- A calmer, more structured approach to exam preparation
Live Sessions · English, Psychology & Sociology
One-to-One Online Tutoring
Live, one-to-one sessions via Zoom or Google Meet, tailored entirely to the individual student. Before the first session, a short diagnostic questionnaire identifies the areas that need the most attention — so every minute of every session is purposeful rather than generic.
Sessions are available for GCSE English Language (AQA/Edexcel), GCSE English Literature (AQA/Edexcel), GCSE Sociology (Eduqas), and GCSE Psychology (Edexcel). You can book as many or as few sessions as needed — there is no commitment to a block.
Sessions can focus on
- Exam technique: breaking down exactly what each question is asking and how to answer it
- Content and subject knowledge: filling gaps, clearing up misconceptions
- Planning and structuring responses under timed conditions
- Building confidence in written expression
- Reviewing and improving independent work
